Install not complete after new CPU - PLEASE HELP IM GOING INSANE

    Hello Everyone,

I was successfully running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my machine as it was with a AMD Athlon dual core processor, on my MSI 770T-C45 motherboard.

I purchased and installed a AMD Phenom II X6 1055t which IS supported by this motherboard (after bios flash).

I flashed the bios using the correct procedures, and any time i wold log into windows i would get BSOD and the message "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION" and also down below "rushtop64.sys" something... i would post the dump, but i have since formatted.

I couldnt solve that issue, the computer would run fine in safe mode.

i had not changed any other hardware. I googled for ages, and saw that if i was to change processor to more cores, that i should re format and reinstall windows.

I got my windows disk, tried to do a clean install. Once it "completing install" and restarts, all i get is a blank black screen with the ( _ ) cursor type thing flashing in the top left of the screen and the computer freezes.

I have noticed that during the install, the "copying files" part only takes about 1 seconds, and goes from 0% to 100% pretty much instantly...

I have tried installing from USB, and i dont have multiple displays. i have disabled onboard sound, and am running a PCI-E Creative extreme sound card, there is no onboard VGA, and i am running a Nvidia GeForce 8800GT.

I am completely out of ideas
    PLEASE HELP ME

'if i try to boot in safe mode, it gets to the "preparing your settings part but wont continue in safe mode, i reset as it says to, and it gets to the "setup is checking video performance, and freezes"

i did this multiple times. one time it made it to the name of your computer stage, and actually seemed to skip the video performance. but then ofcourse it froze again.

Your BIOS flash might have went bad.

Suggest you pull the new processor and install the old one and see if you can boot with it installed. If not then might most likely have buggered the board.

Ya i was going to say the same thing but if it does start up normaly then it might be the CPU mabye you got a bad CPU because a friend of mine got a new CPU and it did not want to work with Windows 7 x64 so we plugged it into mine after a long time messing with it and it still did not work so he sent it back in and got a new one and it started to work just fine so mabye thats your problem

It is never guaranteed Win7 will start on new hardware, especially CPU, mobo or video card. You can try removing the drivers first on old build, updating drivers in Safe Mode or running Startup Repair but you'll likely have to do a clean install if it won't start as there is a driver combination that's conflicting.

Make sure your DVD is clean and booted correctly. Try USB flash install: USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

Try wiping the HD of all code to try install: SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Next try removing all but 2gb of RAM to try install. Test your RAM with memtest86 CD for 5-6 passes.

Then I'd reflash the BIOS after clearing the CMOS: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixthe.../clearcmos.htm

Unplug all peripherals and other HD's.
