Desperately need help! Removed Linux and now can't boot!
I had a laptop with one hdd setup to dual boot win 7 and Linux Mint. Tonight I went into windows disk management, deleted both the Linux main partition and the swap. I then extended my windows partition to use the full drive.
I then decided to completely restore my laptop with recovery discs I created. But these are not windows 7 recovery disks but the Acer ones I created using the Acer tool that came with the laptop.
After I restored, I rebooted and then it went to the grub rescue prompt. I searched for the last hour and found that the solutions given need the win recovery disk and boot into command prompt. However, my Acer disks does not allow me to do anything else but just install windows on the primary partition. I cannot delete or create partitions and fix my mbr.
What can I do now? I have windows 7 installed but cannot get to it.
Really appreciate any help I can get!
