Ah! Inheritance and populating ownership/permissions is still a bit beyond my understanding but at least I know what I did wrong. Next time I should be able to fix it myself! :)
Hehe, all my hard drives are about 98% full with audio data for work and I'm too broke at the moment to get a new one! You've helped me clear about 30GB so I can keep working until I get myself some more drive space!
Already done AddRAM! Thanks again. :)
For those finding this old thread in searches:
The correct way to delete an OS is to move the data off its' partition to delete it in Disk Mgmt. Deleting an OS piecemeal is not only a royal pain but leaves boot code on the HD which can interfere.
In this case you'd first need to move the C paging file back to C from G: Virtual Memory Paging File - Change - Vista Forums
This will allow f to be deleted. However to delete g which is also no longer needed you'll need to also mark it Inactive first. You can then repartition the drive in Disk Mgmt.
If you have nowhere to move the data then it is not backed up now which is unsafe. Get an External HD or upload to cloud storage as shown in Sync, Backup and Store your Files to the Cloud with Skydrive - Windows 7 Forums
