Windows install : device drivers needed
I'm having some issue with my computer, and to solve that I'm trying to install Windows 7 again. I've yet NOT managed to do that ever on this computer, which is about 1 year old. There's no multiboot or whatever, BUT, there is a RAID controller active, and RAID is actually enabled. Actually, now that I threw away all content, I can easily switch RAID to non-RAID, but that doesn't seem to help THIS problem:
I have a LEGAL copy of Windows7, which SHOULD be the Windows I had running. I never installed Windows initially since the shop did that for me.
OK, when I try to install Windows, at some point it says the device drivers are not present, and thus Windows cannot install. It keeps looping into the same error, if I boot from DVD.
I DID use my DVD drive on Windows when I was able to use my computer, I never had any issue with that. I don't understand what driver I need, when I am installing from DVD.
Either he totally cannot read the DVD, but how do I end up in Windows screen then ? Obviously, Windows want to start installation, but then fails over something. Maybe the disk is not valid (it is new though).
Any advice here ?
I disabled RAID for the moment, but that does not help anything. Before the re-installation, this setup (BIOS Intel Raid storage) did report an issue with 1 of both disks, but that error is gone now.
It's not clear if Windows is an issue here, but a clean system reacting this way, obviously something is wrong.
