Windows 10 seems to be awfully slow, guess its this 6 year old PC. Maybe this weekend I'll have time to get one of the ISO's downloaded and give that a try. Thanks

Well to be honest it is going to be slow mate as you only have 3GB RAM a CPU with an L2 cache of 3MB and a Front Side Bus of 1066MHz It has 64bit support but even with 7 it is usually advised to run 4GB RAM with the 64bit Home version.

Maybe time for an upgrade - easier said than done I know but in all honesty it is the answer.

I upgraded my laptop(dell inspiron 15 5000 series i5 processor with 8gb ram) and it slowed down also. Yes, i know this desktop is old and windows 10 may just be too much for, it but I'd expect my laptop to handle it easily.

    Hi,
A clean install of 10 might run better
A lot of older machines might run 10 better if installed cleanly opposed to an upgrading of 7 plus turning off hibernation/ fast startup and a few other new features.
Upgrades have always been sketchy at best and usually only work on a good day unfortunately good days are few and far between
