W7 Pro 64-bit Random Problems during Install
I've been trying to install Windows 7 Professional 64-bit for three weeks now. I've troubleshot everything I can think of, so I'm coming to you all for help.
My system (which I just built) is:
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P (Rev. 1.6) FD
4 x 2 GB PNY Optima 240-PIN DDR2 PC2-5300 667/533/400 MHz
Intel Core 2 Quad (Q9550)
- Freq. 2.83 GHz - 12 MB L2 Cache
- FSB 1333 MHz - Socket LGA775
- Core 45nm
EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX 512MB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16
When I try to install, either somewhere in the install I'll get an error (sometimes a blue screen, sometimes a "Can't read from disk" error, sometimes a "Corrupted Files" error, etc ...), or I'll get a similar one as windows tries to start for the first time (to complete installation).
I've tried everything I can think of --
- Memtest86+ for 48 hours w/ no errors
- Tried each stick of RAM individually, both in Memtest86+ and install, to no avail.
- Tried 3 different hard drives from two different manufacturers
- RMA'd the Motherboard
Any other suggestions?
