    Upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit??


    hello......i got this DVD from a friend a 64-bit os windows 7......im thinking to upgrade my 23-bit OS.....is there any guide how to upgrade it?????

    should i have back up files and could thid upgrading clean my files on disk D???

    Always! Always! Always! BACKUP !!!!!!!!!!
    Backup everything before upgrading or reinstalling an OS

    You have to boot the DVD to Custom install 64 bit over the 32 bit.

    When you boot the DVD, it will scan the HD to see another oS while allows use of the Upgrade version key.

    Then use Custom>Drive Tools to delete, repartition as you wish, then format before installing Win7 to the first partition.

    sir i did go to the shop where i buy the laptop...they say i need to be 4gb memory to upgrade it....is it true???

    Yes, I would have at least 4 gb RAM to run 64 bit.
