    Are you doing an upgrade install? Clean install? from Vista or another Windows 7 build? Try downloading the iso and burn it at the slowest possible speed. Or try just running the setup from your desktop.

    I tried a clean install, booting from the desktop, i burned it right, doing a clean install from vista, pretty much the same way most people are, but i keep getting the same error message telling me to make sure all the needed files are there (wich im quite sure they are) vista just wants to give me its goodbye troubles i guess haha...

    I ran into this also until I burned the ISO using a different pc. (same model of burner tho...go figure.) It worked fine from then on.

    Either burn a new ISO using a different pc/burner, or;
    Create a USB stick with WIN7 and install from that.(search the forum for how to do this...pretty easy.)

    Good luck

    Win7 RC installation problem

    My problem was the same but the solution was different. The errror code 0X80070070 refers to lack of space on the drive. I had 19 gb. I use the tool in the set-up dialog to format the partition that I was installing on, and the installation succeeded. I was installing Windows 7 Pro on an HP MS2774 also known as NV52, which previously had Vista installed but was not working properly.
