Problem with laptop - Blank screen with blinking cursor
I recently dualbooted Linux Mint and Windows 7 on my laptop. Yesterday I removed the Linux partition without thinking, and forgetting about the GRUB bootloader. I'm at a stump now. When I try and turn on my computer, the Toshiba logo appears, then the screen goes blank with a blinking cursor. I searched the internet all of today and most of yesterday, all that did was tell me to do the bootsect /nt670 /fixmbr and all it's variations.
Thing I've tried:
-Repairing it using install DVD
-Bootsect/Bootrec (used any option that would help, none did)
-Reinstalled Mint (GRUB loader reappeared, was able to boot Windows 7 loader, but when I did it went back into the blank screen)
-Reinstalled Windows 7 (didn't help)
Another problem is, when I click on repair, it shows with 3 different Windows 7 installs, Windows 7, Windows 7, and Windows 7 Home Premium. All say they are located on my primary partition, C:\.
So, is my computer a big paperweight now? Or should I reinstall Linux, boot into it, format my entire system, and reinstall Windows fresh? I have all my important data backed up on an external HD. Thanks
PS I'm running a memory test on my laptop now, I'll post results later if needed.
