How to load Movie Subtitle in Media Player 12???

I tried everything including taking ownership of mfpmp.exe, renaming it and installing DirectVobSub. It had been close to one and a half hours and I was frustrated!!

A few minutes ago, I installed win7codecs, checked "Shark007 SUGGESTED settings" and WMP now plays h264 mp4 videps with subtitles!!

Is this Windows Media Player 12, Windows media centers default videoplayer ?

And if its not, why did you post thread to Media Center section of this forum ?

i can't do anything with the avi files i just want anyhelp with that i don't know what to do i took downloaded the ownership but i can't do anything with it

It will work for AVI files too. (or any other filetype for that matter)
