Configure WMP to play 1 at a time unless is playlist

Perhaps there is a place within the WMP configuration options that will allow me to play only 1 title at a time unless I have created a playlist. Find that when I click on a title to play it does not stop when that title completes but continues on. Do not believe WMP in Win XP did this, nor did my Musicmatch Jukebox thru its usage during the Win 98, Win ME and into the Win XP era. I skipped the Vista trick like many others. So, can't I play a single title if I wish without sitting here and stopping it manually??

right-click on the track and select "Play" from the drop down list..

    - the default is "Play all"

You can have the same effect if you play the file directly from the Music folder.
