Help with

Hi all! :)

Just a quick question regarding WMC and Mediabrowser, if I may.

I am using Mediabrowser and all my movies, cover art and backdrops are showing up perfectly. The one problem I am having is that for some reason a few of the movies are missing the "General" info in WMC.

The "mymovies" XML Document (.xml) appears to contain the same info for these movies as for the ones that do appear (apart from the info, obviously) so any idea why they aren't showing?

Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure why, maybe you can run a program like media center master to retrieve the information that is missed. MCM will also download your trailers, and also edit the xml file to show MB where the trailers are located.

On another note: For the life of me none of my IBN photos are showing for the actors in MB.

I have tried that, the info is saved to the movie file but just won't show in WMC.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

@V3xar, try hovering over the folder and press the Rec. button on your remote, or Control-R. That will Force MB to refresh the info. If it still does not show up, try deleting the xml and let what ever fetcher your using rebuild it.

Thanks for that mate. Tried both but still no luck. As I mentioned the xml files are in the folders but just not showing up in MediaBrowser.

As a matter of interest DemonSeed which fetcher would you recommend? I am currently using Media Center Master.

I use meta<browser/> for all of mine. Have a look at this thread and see if the amount of metadata your xml has meats the required sliding scale, that MB uses to determon if it shows the info in the xml or not. Media Browser BBS • View topic - Title details does not show for some movies...

If it does not meat the require, then try adding some more info to the xml and then try refreshing the info again. And it should work.

DS you have any idea why my IBN actor photos are not showing in MB? I have edit the imagebyname location tag in the mb config file, still no joy. Removed MB with revo so it deletes left over registry and folders, Reinstalled mb, still no joy. Must be my time to catch hell with MB, lol. There is one entry in my recently added list that won't go away. I searched everywhere for it, and cannot find it. it is called trailer, it is not a folder because it looks like it might be a clip, but it does not play. Hopefully once I reinstall mb again, all will be well.

If your using Vanilla 2.0 the actor images are broken and the author does know about it, and said a fix is on the way.

Also, you do know that the IBN has a new setup right?

imagesbyname\General <--- Podcasts, Film Trailers etc. icons go here
imagesbyname\Genre <- Says it all
imagesbyname\People <--- All Actor Images Now Go Here (must also redirect meta<browser/> to this)
imagesbyname\Studio <- Says it all
imagesbyname\Year <- Says it all

Hi DS.

Long time no speak (everything working fine), but I have a question.

I have now obtained a box set of movies, and want to have them in MB, but can't remember how to do it, so rather than trawling through the 50+ pages of this thread, can you give me a quick heads-up please ??

Do I have to create a playlist of sorts ??

TIA

Also, in answer to V3xar, meta<browser/> is by far the best metadata fetcher out there at the moment, and is so easy to use. So easy, that you don't have to do anything !!
