Says connected to internet, but cant open browser

    Thanks for the help and the advice on the dns service and router upgrade. Hopefully the pc will run ok until I have a chance to work on those upgrades. I'll try to boost your rep if I find the scales (they appear to be gone now).

    This worked for me.. obviously had to use a flash drive and another computer bit make sure you run as administrator and press enter untill it says restart..
