Very odd no Connection Issue.. please help

    ahhh I miss my linksys wrt54g v4 :P I bricked her upgrading firmware :P but anyways look around in the advanced tabs and maybe setup see if you see anything regarding the mac.

    The isp uses dhcp to the modems. The modem acts as a bridge to the internet. Al a modem does is translate the signal from your source, dial-up, dsl, t1, cable, etc., From there it passes the signal to your pc or outer. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE DHCP ENABLED ON EITHER DEVICE(router or pc) YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET INTERNET IF PLUGGED INTO A CONSUMER MODEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I can plug my cable modem straight into my PC and it works fine. I only use a router for the hardware firewall. So it is certainly 100% true you do not need a router. A Guy
