Thank you. I figured that out. Feel like a big dummy. Will go exchange it this evening. But I still have another problem. The Windows 7 32 bit computer will not connect to the internet even when plugged directly into the modem. When we check the hardware it says the device is working properly. The light is on and we changed cables around to check the cable. Is it possible the device got fried in the storm and isn't working properly even though the hardware manager says it is?
