wireless adapter not working

hello,,
recently i've bought tp-link tl-wn721n wireless usn adapter..
dont know wether already install properly or not..
but i found wireless icon in network..it said "Enabled"..
when i tried to create adhoc...cannot..
what shud i do?

is it this usb adapter can create network n access internet via home broadband without any wifi router?

If I understand correctly....
Yes you need a wireless router as well.

what about desktop already have internet connection??
i just want to connect my phone n my desktop via wifi..
i've read some page can be connect w/o router..
has to use adhoc...

I guess you can, but the bother and the poor signal quality make it a poor choice.
Buy a cheap wireless router and be much happier.

after surfing i found a software name connectify..
now i can access internet on my handphone via my home broadband (that connect on my desktop)..
using my wireless adapter..
