    Uggh... Telnet login issues....

    Ok,

So, I am trying to login to windows 7 home premium via telnet server. I have telnet enabled.... I get to the login screen, type my user name and skip the password (because there is none on this machine) and it says "login failed". I have tried adding the users to the telnet service but for some reason microsoft disables the local user snapin for home premium. How do I set up users for telnet server?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off and turn on Telnet Client and/or Telnet Server . Click OK , then restart the computer.

Yes... the service is running but there is no way to create a telnet server user in Windows Home Premium to my knowledge. Wonder why Microsoft would make it a Professional/Ultimate only feature and still allow us to enable the server.

    However I did just notice:

One of the many things I sometimes don't understand myself...and I would bet the premium doesn't have the built in administrator account as well...what happens when you use passwords?
