Zone alarm seems to cause nothing but problems. If you don't want sharing problems I suggest that you uninstall it completly. After that, follow the directions in my last post. :)

Okay I have have a issue with connecting to xp to win7 machines. My laptop is windows XP and I have it setup as the internet gateway to where my desktop connects to the internet thru my xp machine. I got my windows 7 desktop sharing working with the xp machine but the issue I am having is I go a new laptop with window 7 and I have tried to connect it to the network, it does not see my xp laptop, xp desktop or windows 7 desktop. When I try to ping the ip address of all the machines it will not ping, but I can connect wireless thru the laptop to the internet but not to the networks.

Do you have your new laptop joined to your workgroup. All pc's need to be on the same work group. This link shows how
