    Lacie Network Drive (NAS SERVER)

Hello, its my first post, hoping i don't go against any rules from the group.

Hi got one NAS Server with 2 SATA Raid 512 MB harddrives , 1 Ghz x32 VIA Processor and unfortunatly 256 MB DDR2 with fisical diferent size so i can't upgrade it...

It comes with XP Embedded, that was erased... so i use one SSD extra drive for booting in XP sP3... thing is... in network it won't apear in windows10 nor 11..

So i wanted to upgrade to 7... but i can't install based on the existing RAM

Can someone share one solution so i can re-use this machine for sharing family DivX for the TV Smartbox

    Thanks in Advance,

    Simon

It was running XP Embedded for a reason, you're going to have to re-install that.

    I found one recovery ISO

I have one recovery ISO, but am getting trouble to boot from pen drive with it.

The BIOS demands an EXTERNAL USB-ZIP or USB-CDROM, that i don't own.

One file i could extract from the boot pen in vmware is one image... that i tryed to recover and it gives error of hardware missing...

Would you know how to help on this? Or even if i use XP SP3... how to make it visible on network for windows 10 and 11.

My network provider, has one NAS Box that is multimedia and runs on TV. my goal is to use LACIE NETWORK DISK with 1 Tb (2 512 SATA RAID) has multimedia video server. But it doesn't appear on the network...

That is why i think 7 x32 could improve ...

    Hello,

Yes, if i ping the other, they will reply.

When i search the XP "server" he never appears, nor reply to windows 10 nor windows 11.

The first NAS SERVER i expect to be feed by this network drive... is from NOWO ONE DRIVE a all in one cable tv server. It is a modem, router, wifi and HDD server... but after windows 10... i lost HTTP server acess.
