WiFi Extender and Ethernet PC

I love my Windows 7 PC. However, with the new internet provider, my wireless router is in a different room.

I have researched using a WiFi extender with an ethernet PC, but cannot find an answer. I am also sick to death of the AI videos explaining how to set up the WiFi extender.

Is it possible to connect an ethernet cable to a WiFi extender? What if I used a second WiFi router that has ethernet connections? Is it possible to connect that WiFi router to the first WiFi router via WiFi?

I just do not want to lose my internet connection on my Windows 7 PC.

Is it that your new Router doesn't actually have an Ethernet port, or that you can't run a cable to the Win7 PC?
If it is the former, one simple method would be just to get a USB WiFi Dongle for your Win7 PC assuming the strength of the Router Is strong enough. I have used these in the past. Just make sure the driver is suitable for Windows 7.
If there is an Ethernet Port, then the best way is just to buy a longer Ethernet cable and try and find a route through to the PC.

I have a long enough ethernet to reach the router, but it would require running across the floor, across two thresholds, and along the wall.

That is why I asked about using the WiFi extender and an ethernet cable.

Then just use a USB WiFi dongle direct into the PC. If the signal is strong, you won't need one with antenna, but do check that it has a Windows 7 Driver. Not much point in using an intermediate extender just to get back to Ethernet.
If you are a bit handy and don't want to give over a USB port, you could put an internal WiFi Card into your PC. Pete
