if you can disconnect the cable and remove all existing wireless networks as my previous posts and then try re-connecting

Nigel .. LOOK above at my new message please. NO did NOT get any error screens .....went so smoothly.. I was so shocked when I clicked on my I E..it connected.... Yes it did.. I was NOW connected WI-Fi.. what a great thing to have accomplished with your help. I think you'll be pleased.. thanks so very much for all of your help.
