Hello SevenForums members,

I've a annoying problem with my Windows 7 x64 Home Premium.
When I type ipconfig /all in CMD, I get like 54 Tunnel-adapters.
Can someone explain me why? Or fix this problem? It's pretty annoying to have this sh*t on my ipconfig. It's Dutch, but maybe this copy will help:

Are you still playing around with this?

If so try the using the ipconfig /release6 command. To renew IPv6 try using the ipconfig /renew6 command.

I've got 183 tunnel adapters, nothing shows up in the registry, it spams cmd so I can only scroll up as far as *123 and can't find out my mac, gateway, dns etc. Real pain in the balls, any ideas?

You can usually get to those extra adaptors to show up by going into Device Manager,> view> show hidden devices, then to network adaptors and delate all the extra tunnel adaptors you see there.

If they aren't all showing up then you can use the link below to get even more devices to show up. I have outlined the procedure in the next paragraph also.

Error message when you try to set an IP address on a network adapter

To resolve this problem, uninstall the ghosted network adapter from the registry using one of the following methods:

Method 1

  1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd.exe, and then press ENTER.
  2. Type set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1, and then press ENTER.
  3. Type Start DEVMGMT.MSC, and then press ENTER.
  4. Click View, and then click Show Hidden Devices.
  5. Expand the Network Adapters tree.
  6. Right-click the dimmed network adapter, and then click Uninstall.

Yes this problem comes up from time to time and all too often the extra tunnel adaptors won't show up unless you make them all appear with that command. I had to help someone else with this just last week. Glad it worked for you.
