There's a new 'stage': Assembling Service Pack, and it takes some time. Dunno what it means though.

Couple of reliability updates, one failed (!), KB 2387530. I'll give it another go.
I remember that Vista SP1. It did take over an hour. Seemed to stop once or twice, too, making me concerned it had frozen or failed. What a nightmare that might have been.

Concerning that failed 'Reliability update (some WiFi Hotfix))' - it is not on offer any more. Misterious.

There are Service Pack 1 Language packs now available - at first glance you think it unhid al your hidden language packs, then you realize these are the 'new' ones.

Some older Restore points have obviouly been removed as per policy, and I have more free disk space now after SP 1 than before so I don't know how much disk space has been consumed, and I didn't keep tabs on the Windows folder, so I might not know until I start cleanup..which I will not do right now.

One of the Reliability updates doesn't have a KB article yet, it seems. KB 2484033.

6.1.7601.17514 is the build number of updated system files.

The 3 updates are now showing. I've installed the first two; will install the SP later this evening when I'm done with the PC.

Hi Guys

Ive downloaded the full iso (1.9gig) so i can make a slipstreamed disk later but can i burn this iso to disk to create an installation disk for the service pack or would i have to just copy the iso to disk and then copy back to the pc if i ever re installed windows. If so how do i go about it.Is it as easy as right click and burn image to disk.

I have the one that was available last month or so on my USB Drive. I think it's an .exe file, is there one available like that?
