Still... not upgrading to W8 :)
Read More..Skype may be taking new look and feel cues from the Windows 8 interface formerly known as Metro.
New client versions of Skype are in the works with a few notable enhancements, The Verge reports. One such is a new UI that borrows from the Windows 8 interface. Skype is now testing this change, but could take it a few steps further in future releases, according to The Verge.
Guess I'm not updating Skype!
I haven't updated Skype since MS acquired it. It isn't necessary to Metro-cise it, there isn't much of an interface. I mean.... I full screen the video and look at that. If it's a voice call, the window is minimized. So wats up wit dat?
Ohhhhh, that consistent look and feel of all applications - that's sooo 1990s
If you check the beta version they have, they did "metro-cize" it in a way--they made everything look flat. No shades nor shines. Other than that, it is essentially the same interface, just a visual change.
