That article completely ignored Win 7 and 8.1 so who knows what will happen with them?
Very smart that you observed this first! :)

I normally wait until Saturday or Sunday to install MS' monthly updates (heck, they don't even show up on my computer until Wednesday) but curiosity got the better of me I and I just manually checked them. There were two optional updates and five important ones. I wonder if they will still be available by this weekend or will they also get pulled like last month?

Did anybody else get offered the IE Cumulative security update after hiding the Windows 7 Security Monthly Quality Update (rollup)? It hasn't appeared in my update list.

I thought now that they had separated those that the IE update would be offered after hiding the rollup?
Or do we now also have to install the IE security updates manually if only installing the 7 Security-only updates?

The KB page does state that the IE security update would be issued as a separate update through WU and issued with the monthly rollups.

Thanks Shawn. Wait, just came in, two important, and the dreaded 2664 hid it again. Brds, I didn't get one for IE. I'll see about your other questions, I just got in from plowin' and blowin' the 20" snow that fell.

Be back later, need time to relax.

I didn't get offered any updates yet. They usually arrive a day later here in the UK.

I downloaded and installed KB4012215 but after the reboot I got a BSOD and "Boot Device Not Found" error message.

Booted into Windows PE (created by AOMEI PE Builder) and moved some files I needed to keep to another drive. Then I took a look at disk management. The boot flag was missing from Windows partition. Managed to fix it and rebooted. All is well and KB4012215 shows up as installed.

Here's a list of files downloaded when installing KB4012215

Not sure why it screwed up boot.

Ditto on that. Macrium Reflect backup restore fails. In PE windows partition shows as unallocated. Startup repair advanced options are missing. Looks like I need to delete partition and reinstall windows.
