Yeah, I am happy with it, I will upload a pic or 2 of how it looks,just for second opinions,

And when looking for a chassis, dont buy for what you need now, buy for what you plan on doing with it in 5 years,so basically make sure it will stay "up to date" as long as needed

I ran a SSD HD tester today,and at the end it said I should fix the corrupted error and sectors,so I let it run and fix the stuff, now it went from a 7.9 score down to 7.5, but it is way faster,and not just with file transfers,but with boot-up,response and so on, so it scored lower,but made an actual difference you can see. Anyone els experienced that recently SSD's tend to score different every time you format? Or is it just mine?

I think over formatting will slow a SSD due to writes and wearing. I found mine was slower when new but picked up after running it several days. Went from 7.5 to 7.9 in WEI and 567 to 777 with As SSD benchmark. I use Secure Erase in Parted Magic to wipe a SSD before a reinstall.

What tester did you use Joey?

I have had my Intel system sitting on the motherboard box since April, testing to make sure it was stable. I have now put it in an Inwin Dragon Rider full tower case.

This is the new parts in the pool, came from AMD. Intel i5-2550K with 16GB G.Skill 2133 RAM.


I painted the exterior blue.

First parts in the case, I/O panel and PSU.

Optical drives, Lg BluRay burner and ASUS DVD burner.

Fashioned a filter over the front intake fan.


...and on the CPU cooler intake fan.


I added some aluminum foil tape to the cooler to help stop side air bleed-out.

Board and PSU mounted.


My "neat" workspace, a picnic table in the kitchen.

Stages of wiring inside and behind the board.


Wiring behind board and inside finished, YAY!


Using magnetic sheet I have attached some sheer black curtain material to case opening for filtering. I have 3 fans binging air in and one exhaust=positive pressure. It ain't pretty but should be good at keeping dust to a minimum.


Case assembled with front panel attached. One card reader and a USB 3.0 panel.



How it looked for 3+ months taking up space on my desk.

Very much needed accessories Jack. When added to the tummy things work much better. The beverage (Pepsi) was out of sight.
