    What were the issues with installing win-8.1 ?
    It shouldn't be any different than installing win-7 :/

    .....Initially the error messages trying to install Win8.1(on my Dell Precision T3400 build) were as follows
    • error code 0xc00000e9 - reapplied artic paste to cpu and computer proceeded to: choose language prompt
    • then error code 0xc0000221 popped up
    I tossed in the towel(for awhile mind you) and purchased the Dell OptiPlex 980 with Win7 pro installed. I'm currently using the OptiPlex tower and am happy as a clam. I do plan on trying to get to the bottom of the above issues with the T3400 as I think it is a more flexible platform.
