The dmp(s) point to ntkrpamp.exe or ntoskrnl.exe as the probable cause. We know this is not the case, as these are core OS files, and will definitely not cause a BSOD. They are just the default files the debuggers blame when they can't see a better cause.... I think you should enable driver verifier to further pinpoint the problem... Use these instructions...

- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

done that, took its time but I'm back after a restore. sys went proper slow, and crashed a few times. couldn't pin point nothing, it took 5 minutes to show the start menu what should I do now?

Both dumps show sptd.sys and blame cmdguard.sys. Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads. Do not reinstall this program. Use the tool to get rid of all of the remnants.

cmdguard.sys is part of Comodo. Uninstall Comodo using their uninstall tool. Comodo is know to cause BSOD's on some systems.

I found your ATI driver is badly out of date.

I did use Daemon Tools before but I removed it a long time ago.

I'm not willing to uninstall Comodo as their firewall the best around.

ATI is out of date because of my current system specs and windows 7 not really taking a liking to one another. 7 wasn't accepting my graphic card so I had work wonders to get it working, I had to install Win 2000 drivers, copy them into windows folder... part of it was done with a blackscreen google

I have Roxio installed but its disabled, non of its programs start when the system is booted.



I've just disabled sptd service via the tool in the first part of your post, I now have to restart.... should I try changing the FSB after restart?

please advise on other issues too...



right, a friend told me to change - CLEAR NVRAM to YES and try my normal FSB... it worked but when I turn the pc off, CLEAR NVRAM changes back to no when booting back up, with it set to no, it crashes with my normal 166 fsb set. I'm now having to run the system with FSB set on 100... please help

he also told me i might have to re-install my o/s which i don't want to do as I'll have to somehow back up all my files which I haven't done before, I haven't even got an external hard drive.
