Yeah those are high but intel runs hotter though are you using the heat sink that came with it or aftermarket because that does make a difference

and do you have enough fans circulating

the only 2 that are kinda high is the cpu and the hdd might also need a good cleaning to flush out the dust

the gpu looks normal pretty much but try some of the quick fixes to see if it gets cooler if not see what the limit heat wise is on the chip and compare it if it isnt in any danger then dont worry about it

It was custom built for me. I have two fans running, but you're probably right about dusting the inside. It seems to need it done, often!

Here's another look

Heres mine w/ a slight load.
For some reason Core Temp always shows 40C on Core3 until it goes above that. Must be stuck.

Isn't GPU fan speed @ 70% all the time a bit noisy?

I also always read people stating how much cooler ATI 5000 series are than the Nvidia 460's. Hmmm!

Really? The 470/480s very likely hotter, but I always thought the 460s were just as good or better than the 5000 series, in regards to heat & effeciency.

Something to look into for more specifics. :)

They are Wishmaster if you read the testing.
It seems to get twisted around a lot by many of the die hard ATI fans.

I wasn't refering to anyone posting on the thread here. Unintentional if it sounded that way.
I might need to edit.

I know the 470-480 get up in the 5800 series temp ranges.

My 460 runs nice and cool. That was my point I guess so I can't figure all the criticism from the other side. Not on this thread though.;):D

My core temps are a little higher than usual, I've been taxing my machine in a stress test now that I have it stable.

Normally I hang out around 14C (ambient usually around 22C)

Cool temps but your CPU fan is maxed out.

I'm just idling.
It is weird the differences the different systems operate at.

Solarstarshines

I thought we would see more consistency in temps compared to fan speeds. They seem to be all over the place. Go figure!

thats not the fan speed you're looking at that's the cpu mhz 3220mhz 3.2 ghz the fans i have installed on the heat sink and system are 3000rpms it is normally round 2220 -2800 something rpm you have real low fan usage though
