Or you can download a program called Ccleaner, its very good, free and safe. Try it out it clears everything. It also features a registry cleaner.

To prevent Windows Explorer from storing the history of files accessed, the following instructions will make Windows Explorer delete the history every time you close it. This does not affect Internet Explorer, just Windows Explorer.

In regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TypedPaths

Right-click on the Typedpaths folder, click "Permissions..."

Click "Advanced"
Uncheck "Include inheritable permissions from parent"
Click "Remove" from the pop-up window

Reboot

Right-click the address bar > click delete history.
This won't work if you have the writing prompt on the bar, so left-click somewhere else in the explorer first.
I was trying to figure out this for awhile.. read all the forums, everything told me to go to registries, etc. But I couldn't ever find them. Accidentally right-click, and found it. -_-

Hi there does anyone know how to clear the history from the drop down in the Add Network Location dialogue? (Attached Image)

I have some addresses there that I would like to remove, however I have not been successful in finding a way to delete them.

Thanks
