Not 100% the processors affect it (I can't imagine it does tbh), so you can test that yourself and see if it affects it, but I think the available memory is most likely the cause of it.

Well that's not happening for me. And if that is typical, this is the first SLI setup I've seen it happen on.

I've had SLI for over a year, and it just started happening. It's not SLI.

Update.. SOLVED!

Yes guys, it was the msconfig changing that I did. I've always changed the boot tab's advanced settings to use all 4 cores, and max memory, but I've since learned that doesn't DO anything, and that it's there for error testing reasons only and not to boost performance.

if anyone's done msconfig and changed the boot tab to use all 4 cores and max memory. it will cause this error or whatever. So i set them both back to default and everything is ok now.. lol.

I do have a question though guys. On the boot tab in msconfig, does changing the boot timeout from 30 seconds to 10, or even 5 seconds help? I've always set that to 10, but does it do anything? or no

It only does something if you have multiple operating systems or force the menu to show. That timeout is for when it will select the default option if no input is received before the timeout.
