Prevent a task in Task Scheduler from running

    Hello to everyone,

I'm getting so so frustrated by Yandex Browser (I'm too lazy right now to replace it with another browser) since it creates an update task without my consent.
I tried everything, Yandex settings, deleteting the task, deleting the update.exe file, rinominating the update folder, nothing has worked because the bloody task is back and the browser updates when I'm doing certain tasks and with very slow internet connection.
I tried playing with Task Scheduler to create a task to block Yandex's task but there isn't any option that allows deleting or preventing a specific task from running.
Could you guys suggest me a way around or a free alternative program to Task Scheduler that can do the job?
I complained to Yandex already but they do NOT listen!

    Hi Looked,

with all that you've done it would have been quicker to install another browser

Anyway does it have an update options preferences menu, mine do, you could try the not auto update option.

    Other options could include
local service - Yandex updater -dissable, via admin tools
    System config uncheck anything Yandex.

    Note
Whenever you update Yandex to a newer version all preferences/settings will be reset to default levels and you'll have todo them all again.

At the beginning it seemed an ok browser (Chrome engine) but then this stupid (programmer) auto update kicked in.

As I said the settings are hopeless as the auto update kicks in anyway, the browser creates a new task in Task Manager.

    Other options could include
local service - Yandex updater -dissable, via admin tools
I forgot to mention that I disabled that one as well but it re-activates back.

    System config uncheck anything Yandex.
I forgot to disable that one so let's see if this will work, until the next update kicks in.
This is really a spam activity, how can these arrogant people pretend to take ovnership of my computer??

Thanks for your support, in the mean time I keep looking to see if there is an option to prevent programs creating new tasks without my consent or to deny privilege to a specific program.

PS: Also I blocked the update.exe in Windows firewall but it still didn't work.
