    Any Must Have Software?

Any Software a lot of you feel is MUST HAVE! I checked the List up above by Brink, but I'm curious about any that didn't make the list yet.

When I do a clean install I usually have:

    iTunes
    Office 10
    Firefox
    Trillian
    iTunes
    Winrar
    Nero 10
    CCleaner
    Defraggler
    Kaspersky
    MP3Gain
    Nitro PDF Reader
    PhotoScape
    TeamViewer
    uTorrent

    Anything I should add?

The entire subject is EXTREMELY subjective.

    You install what you want.
Making sure to create a system restore point before each install.

    +1 to that concept.

I spend the first few days with a new machine taking off the stuff I don't need and from then on, adding stuff I do need. I have to put on the little Hotkey apps I wrote myself or else I'll keep hitting a hotkey that isn't there. That gets old fast. :)

After that is a third party browser so I can start downloading the rest of the stuff I need. :)

Other than Office, Visual Studio, the debugging tools, and a few older games and an IM client, nothing springs to mind.

Get rid of Kaspersky and all the other 3rd party AV software --MSE is just fine, small footprint, no resource consumption and performs wellll even against paid for opposition.

One program I can't live without os Photoshop -- OK it's not for those on a budget but I NEED IT and while the GIMP is good it is missing a lot of functionality that I really use in photoshop --also it's a bit clumsy in handling layers etc.

    Cheers
