    SpeedFan

I was thinking of using SpeedFan but it doesn't appear in the free programs list.
Does anyone know of a problem with this program.
(Well known for system temperature monitoring)

The only problem I experienced, is when I run it, it makes some small vertical lines in the background because it's monitoring your temperature.

This is why I recommend Everest. Even though it's not free.

I've used Speedfan for years for fan speed control and temp monitoring with no problems at all.
Sometimes it takes a bit of investigating to determine what temps are what.

I mostly use Aida64 (replacement for Everest) for monitoring now but it is not free. A great program though.

Personally I use either Speccy or HWMonitor, both free and do the job nicely.

I get temperature readouts from the ASUS Motherboard tool and programs like SIW. The outputs can be a bit misleading so I wanted a better understanding and monitoring tool.
ie. I want a handle on T(junction), T(case), T(CPU) and some confidence that the tool is measuring these parameters.
