Do I need Java on my PC

    I have no idea which thread you are talking about, but you probably don't need Java. Just uninstall it and see if you miss it. You can always install it again if you need it. If you decide that you must have Java installed, take a look at this post: IE 10 Not Keeping Temp Files

    I have seen that thread and the comment about Java. I would also suggest not installing Flash add-on for IE or other browsers. It too is a common infection vector. Install Chrome and only use it when you must see Flash content.

    Install it when needed. Some apps or sites require Java being pre-installed.

    If it is necessary to have it installed you could opt to use the "disable" option in the same application when is not more needed. And "enable" when it is required. : https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/201...rity-controls/

    I learned that through the forum : Looks like I'll have to use Java. Recommendations ?
