Hi everyone. Just for the people that don't know, you can download the Connectify beta and turn any Windows 7 laptop into a wireless hot-spot.

I'm having trouble connecting my PSP to it. It says that the security is not supported. Is there anything I can do about it?

i have the same problems with my ps3
i think its caused due to the fact the the connection is based on an adhoc(and not a standard wifi)
which is not supported by the gaming consoles
if i got it wrong and u have a work around this issue i would love to hear it.

(there also a possibility of configuring the wireless adapter setting to certain values eg. 20mhz broadcast etc.)

Hello,

I just discovered this software, it's great! I'm currently searching for a solution because my laptop always disconnect from my router, and I wanted to try this.

Unfortunately, it says my wifi card (WUSB54G linksys) is not compatible. I have a couple of other ones that I will try (TRENDNET).

I believe the PSP only supports WPA/TKIP not /AES which is the only option for Connectify at the moment. The program is pretty nifty, I am having issues where my devices will be connected, but for some reason the internet appears to stop being served until I restart the app. I am using a RALINK usb adapter. Before upgrading to 7 I was using RALINK's software on XP to make an AP. I haven't had any luck with their software and 7.

well it said that they only support x64 bit version of sertain device drivers. and ps3 uses wpa/tkip/aes so why cant i connect besides the fact that ima usin 32 bit lol(did i just answer my own question x.x)

Ive had connectify for a while now and it used to work fine. However after waiting a few weeks to download the 7 update I finally installed it ...then connectify stopped working. Any ideas why? All I get now is the "No compatible WiFi devices found" error.. Think Microsoft did it on purpose :O ...lol

Satalite Internet. Where I live it's uber slow.
Ok, I downloaded Connectify and installed it. However, I can not get it to start. I have removed it and reinstalled it with the same results. It will not allow me to use the settings area at all. I have tried to contact connectify.me support, but no replys. Anyone got any suggestions as most posts say you like the product.

Its just like I stated, connectify will not allow me to start it nor change any settings at all. Connectify does load into the system tray. I sent a copy of the log file to Brian.

Hi. I am happy that i have found this thread... maybe i will get some help from you. Ok here is the problem. I have Windows 7 Acer Laptop (with WiFi), Mobile Phone Samsung S5560 Marvel (with WiFi) and i bought yesterday PS3 (with WiFi offcourse). I want to go online with my PS3 and i found out about Connectify. I have installed Connectify and set up a new WiFi network to share my Mobile Broadband from T-Mobile. Everything works correctly because my mobile phone can conect to the new network and i can use internet from my laptop on my mobile... BUT not on PS3. I dont know where is the problem because phone works fine. PS3 found my new network but cant connect... i dont want to use ethernet cable, i hate cables :( anyone know what to do to set up PS3 online? I googled whole internet about this problem but found nothing helpful... :/

I don't know, but I saw when connecting my WII recently that it needed the "AK.." (forgot it) wireless security, not the "TKIP". Maybe you should try to change this setting.
