I saw a good review of WinCDEmu on PC World by chance. I gave it a try. I like it. Nice and simple. Double click a supported image file to mount, select Eject from the drive letter context menu in Explorer to unmount.
Another thing I like is pressing the Open Button with the drive letter selected in my Tray app unmounts the image. Can't get much more convenient.
I was using the free version of MagicISO without any problems. But I saw that WinCDEmu not only does not use a drive letter until you mount an image, but it also supports mounting more than one image.
WinCDEmu - A free CD/DVD emulator for Win32 and Win64
I installed on both Vista64 and Windows Seven 32 bit without having to reboot.
Nice. :)
Sounds similar to the free Virtual Clone Drive from Slysoft.com.
Hello everybody...On my trips around the net I came across something that should intrigue you. So if your into open source projects or this seems like something you have been looking for or needed grab it and give it a try.

Here's a little item we all need sooner or later, and it's available for 32 and 64bit, it's an open source file and archive manager.

Now I can finally get rid of WinRAR X)
Open source is always my preference whenever I can find it.
I made a small utility for my own use as a programmer, to display Windows system error messages from the code number. I called it ErrMsg. I enhanced it in v. 1.2 to use an EditBox so that the error text may be copied and pasted using the clipboard.
Note that it has only been tested on English versions of Windows Vista and W7. It should work on anything XP or later. It has also been recompiled to remove the msvcr100.dll dependency. Note that it only returns Windows system error messages. Be sure to prefix HRESULT error codes with 0x (those ones with 8 digits like 80070005.)
You may download from my page here:

Search on "Windows Error Code Lookup Tool"
to find the download link.
It is free for you to use at your own risk. Donations gratefully accepted via About Box. :)
When I switched to a dual monitor display I got irritated by the way my mouse pointer sometimes unintentionally slid over to my second monitor. With this program you can make the pointer stick to the side of the screen for a configurable amount of time before it goes to the secondary screen. Very nice and handy.
