    Sound problem


    Hi,

    i am using dell inspiron 1520 model and i have installed sigmatel high definition audio codec. Recently i installed some themes and after that my system's sound is not working. I am not able to play any media file as sound is not coming from it. I have checked the codec and it is installed properly and working (as displayed in its status) but sound is not coming. Please help me asap.

    Did you install a Dell supplied sound driver? I do a lot of support on the Dell forum and we find non-Dell drivers either do not work or do not work correctly in most cases.

    Dell does not have a Windows 7 specific driver but there is a Vista 32/64 bit driver and it will work OK
