No Sound - Have to keep re-plugging in speaker connector
Hi,
I posted some threads about this on adobe ( thought it was flash player) and firefox forums because the issue is mainly no sound on youtube videos.
Adobe Community: Audio Issues - Sound stops on youtube vid after a few seconds. Please Help?
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/qu...=a&s=&r=0&as=s
I would be watching the video and then all of sudden it would crash or the audio would stop, especially if when I tried to move the cursor to ahead or behind to different spot in the video, or if I had multiple youtube videos opened and paused. I tried all kinds of things (microsoft fix it, updating drivers, even restoring windows to an earlier version), but after troubleshooting I realized it was not only firefox or chrome, or youtube videos (the videos would still play btw you could watch it just no audio).
Then I realized that unplugging and re plugging the 3.5mm speaker cable back into the jack magically made the sound come back....for a while until it happened all over again.
I'm a bit confused about soundcards and what the next steps for me are.
When I open my device manager and look at "Sound video and game controllers" I see 4 options:
1)AMD High Definition Audio Device
2) Bluetooth Audio Device
3) High Definition Audio Device
4) Intel (R) Display Audio
I'm not sure what this means, if I have 4 sound cards or if they are conflicting somehow.
I tried to update drivers on each one. No change. I've tried "restarting firefox with addons disabled" and "check here to see if your addons are up to date" (they were except VLC which I did update before restoring to previous day and it didnt help).
None of the fixes work for me, same issues. Extremely frustrated!! Help?
