How do I disable the Power on beep ?

On some machines there might be a bios section called Fastboot - check if it can be set to full, complete, thorough, verbose or some wording along those lines.

I have a boot/load that is quite informative and lengthy, using msconfig. Anyone interested, I can post some details, otherwise, onward and upward we go! :)

Please don't disable the beeps on your system.

They may seem annoying however they are very important to see whether your system is functioning properly.
