I dont get it, I have my computer speaker working through my sound card via 3.5mm jack, but yet the optical that is on the same sound card isnt working even when I set s/pfid as default in the sound settings? (The meter still moves, but no sound at all?)

Go into the Device Manager and disable the onboard sound.

Have you gone though any of the FAQ's on the TB knowledge base,

S/PDIF Out - How to use - Turtle Beach :: Knowledgebase

Might be worth checking all the various ones there dealing with SPDIF and digital out, just to make sure you have all the settings correct.

Ok I did all of that & tried both 44.1 & 48khz & still nothing. The meter bar inside of the sound device is moving, but I dont even get anything to my sub..

I tried to disable everything other thand the s/pdif & it still didnt work and now the other options are gone for me to enable them again - how do I do re-enable them?

    Any other ideas?

are you connecting this sound card to an (receiver/amp) or 5.1 speakers? what kind?

you might want to check and see how many s/pdif ports you have on the back of each.
    I know i have 3 on my computer, 1 in > 2 out ..
    and on my receiver i have 2 1 in > 1 out

though i use an x-fi card..

yeah there is only 1 optical port on my card & my sony 5.1 - the surround plugs right into the dvd/amp (its a box kit 5.1, but its still nice)

I used to have it hooked up fine on XP Pro, but I dont think I've ever tried setting it up on 7 until now.

    But I'm still stuck?
