    Malware infection; unable to download

    Hi,

Thanks in advance for your help. You are a blessing :)

I was prompted with an Adobe update and after installing it I couldn't download or save anything from Google chrome. I was unable to access google services like gmail as it said something about insecure data.

I didn't have a virus guard at that time (I deserve all the viruses in the world ) and I installed kaspersky and scanned the system and deleted/disinfected few items and then I was able to access google services. Assuming that it was something wrong with google I uninstalled chrome and also installed safari using IE. But the problem of not being able to download anything prevails and it has affected all other browsers as well.

I scanned and disinfected system with malware bytes and spybot search and destroy but no joy still can't download anything.

Your insight and help would be much appreciated.

Try a system restore back before you installed the Adobe Update.
