    Hi,
Any 2 antivirus programs will conflict sooner than later :)
Best to uninstall it asap through uninstall a program then run the uninstaller here

uninstalled from control panel, program and features, but used 10 bit uninstaller 5.4 ..... which I think took me to your link ...... but after restore point, and the uninstall, 10 bit uninstalled looooooads of left over files from MSE ....... hope all over stuff still works lol

    Hi,
I'd also now go to control panel and open windows defender and turn it off too and you won't have to deal with it either meaning possible conflicts or dealing with windows updates for it and it's horribly slow scanning
I don't believe WD has ever found anything and even if it did wasn't ever able to remove it :)

    (Emphasis mine)

The current release version of Kaspersky KAV/KIS is 2017
    Ditto
    for KTS

Upgrades are free during your valid license period.
Current consumer license policy is -1 / +3.
    So a valid 2016 license should work for 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019
"Best practice" would be to cleanly upgrade from 2016 to 2017, keeping ONLY license information (or nothing at all) during the uninstall.
If you clean everything, be sure BEFORE uninstalling 2016 to have available (paper copy, CD sleeve and/or backed up at support.kaspersky.com) your current activation code.

    Cheers,
    MM

    Hi,
MSE has it's own version of WD
Uninstalling MSE will auto turn back on the other version
Neither are really any good :)
