    microsoft essentials antivirus bug


    hi i got a error when doing a scan with microsoft essentials antivirus when it does a fast scan and full scan a yellow warning comes up saying something malicous have been found you can view it when scan is finished when the scan is finsihed nothing is showing up? i uninstalled it and reinstalled it but nothing shows up??still the problems exsists any help would be grateful of should i ditch it for another antivirus i heard avast n avg aint no good no more!bitdefender showing connection error when i tried to run it on my pc so i uninstalled!

    Are you using any kind of "cleaner" such as Iolo System Mechanic, CCleaner, AVG TuneUp, etc? If you are, make sure Microsoft Security Essentials is excluded from the cleaning scan. Sometimes running a cleaner will remove needed files from anti-malware software such as MSE, Malwarebytes, etc. Removing those files can give false reports like: your computer is unprotected; real time monitoring is off; malicious files have been found and so on. I've included a screenshot of CCleaner on my Windows 10 computer as an example of excluding anti-malware programs. (Sorry, my Windows 7 machine is busy right now or I would have used it for the screenshot.
