Here's a tutorial for enabling custom themes,

Enabling Custom Themes - Windows 7

Once you run UXtheme, copy the contents of the visual style folder to C: Windows, Resources, Themes.

The system files folder, just use the recommended app to replace the explorer frame (32 or 64 bit, what ever you have) you have to turn off UAC and run as admin, as per instructions.

OK, according to his instructions, you need to turn UAC off (which requires reboot) Then right click and run as admin,

Make sure you are replacing the right one( 32 or 64 bit which ever yours is).

You may need to take ownership,

    Take Ownership Shortcut

Of explorerframe.dll before you replace it.
