A lot of people are buying digital downloads from iTunes, AmazonMP3, and Google Play Music.

In my experience, everything that I've gotten from Amazon MP3 and iTunes have been decent sounding conversions. Never bought any music from Google.

A lot of the reason CDs are less popular is that people are impatient. Rather than wait for a CD to come in the mail, they'd rather click a couple times and have the music immediately....and the prices online are almost always better than in actual physical "record stores".

I always buy CDs now :)

I must admit, that most music I listen to is really hard to find in stores, unless you order it online.
