I get 0x80070570 error when setup is unpacking :cry::cry:

I have read something about it and found some things that can be solutions:
  • No USB plugged in (just tested - doesn't work)
  • No recovery partition (not tested, going to test)
  • 2 GB memory instead of 3 GB
For the latest point I don't know if it will work, because I have 1GB+2GB memory and not 3x1GB. Does it work with 1x2GB?
I'm running clean install from upgrade dvd.

Does anyone have other solutions to this problem?
And do the points mentioned above work?

Yes, removing RAM sometimes works. Remove the 1GB stick and see if you can install. If not, move the 2GB to another slot and try again.

Will try that, together the recovery partition deleted...

Why can't Microsoft just make the setup working?...

I believe this has less to do with Windows and more to do with hardware combinations and the lack of BIOS updates available that fix Windows 7 compatibility problems.

Why don't they just make Windows 7 compatible with the hardware?

Edit:

Could a BIOS update help? (if available)

A BIOS update might help.

Regarding compatibility - I'm certain you can imagine how impossible it would be for Microsoft to attempt to make their operating system compatible with hardware. Would you enjoy contacting each and every hardware vendor and trying to write a kernel that will account for every little bizarre, unique piece of hardware? Besides, it's not their responsibility to do that - the hardware manufacturer is responsible for making their hardware drivers compatible with new operating systems.

I don't think BIOS update will work... latest update is from 2008.

I'm going to delete the recovery partition and try again.

Good morning, in the bios, how are the storage devices set? SATA? IDE?

I'm not really good with BIOS, but this is what I found:
PATA/SATA1/SATA2 are enabled, but when starting my computer it mentions the HD at IDE detection.

So I think they are IDE...
