I have a dell laptop that I have been getting a DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL with code 0xd1 relating to iastor.sys I really need help as it infringes with my work and is annoying. I have reinstalled OS 2 time with factory reset and have replaced badram. The new ram is not the cause of this though. Please help. also updating the driver doesn't help and downgrading it gives me a 0x7e code on bsod. I have had problems with this before but it subsided.

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)

STOP 0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Usual causes: Device driver

According to your specs you have AVG installed (but doesnt seem present on your system), you also have Mcafee installed, remove any AVG and all Mcafee from your system and as an alternative install:

Microsoft Security Essentials.
Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability
compared to other antiviruses/internet security software.

:ar: Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows
   Note
Once downloaded, update and run a full system scan

These drivers need updating and are contributing to your BSOD'S:

Update the iastorA.sys driver as requested by VistaKing, also:

Code:
Driver: [COLOR=red]nvlddmkm.sys[/COLOR]
Dated: Sat Mar 24 19:03:10 [COLOR=red]2012[/COLOR]
Refers to: nVidia Video drivers
