1 and 1/2 year old Diaper hacker

I was amazed to watch my 1.5 year old son unlatch and open the laptop then turn it and and log into the oldest sons (4.5 years old) screen name and then actually log online! I can't figure out how he knew how to type the password I made for the oldest son. It is not saved or anything like that. There are 3 options to pick from as my wife, my son, as well as the Admin are available to log in. Yet he knew which one and what to type. Granted he might have watched but for a 1.5 year old to recall that is amazing. I would not have believed it but I sat and watched while he did it. I knew he knows how to turn the PC on for the wife's computer as it is a desktop. But I am dumb founded!

It always seems like the younger ones are more intuitive with tech than we are, doesn't it? Looks like you may have a future guru there in your house.

Wow, that's very cool! Amazing what a small child can learn.

My 18 month old can turn on the TV and blueray player, insert her DVD of choice, switch the setting to HDMI and press play. I thought it was a fluke until I watched her do it 3 times in a row.

She also has the courtesy of removing any DVD that is currently in the player and handing it to me with a very polite TA!

my nephew actually did this at about the same age, he was even able to pick the site his mom let him play on, nick jr, disney, pbskids, one of those from the drop down history and go to it on his own. noone ever showed him how. but he also learned to work the dvd player before her too even though we had it for a few years before he was born. btw he is turning 6 this year.

The older one is 4.5 years old and he has been able to repair the internet connection on his own after watching me. He unplugs the router and then plugs it back in then waits for the connection to come back. He loves Agame, a website that holds loads of games to play online for free. I decided to give up password protecting the wife's computer as she always wrote it down and he could read the letters and numbers so he figured out how to log in. :shock: At least they know not to mess with my PC.

Well the parental controls are much more powerful than just history monitoring.

u never know mike, u never know.
do you know you can delete individual history entries?
better safe than sorry before they inadvertently stumble on something.
