I liked the part about "slow computers" and the dial-up wait times. Just goes to show how you can get used to certain things and take them for granted. My first computer I could literally turn on, go make a pot of coffee and be back as it was finally ready to go. I remember defragging once where I started the process, went to work!, and it was still working on it when I got home 9 1/2 hours later.

I hate the smell of friggin corn chip butt breath snacks.
Haha, I remember the time I had a dial-up connection back in 2004-2005. It was such a PAIN in the neck. I now have a broad band connection which is still too slow to do anything. (153 Kb/s)

Your dude.
I remember it taking like 30 mins to d/l a 2 MB file & if you were using your main phone line & someone called, you had to start over again. 25 mins of download time down the drain  We eventually got 2 lines just so or blazing 14.4 modem wouldn't get interrupted.

When young, I was the "channel changer."

Even worse was "Rabbit Ears." You walk close to the TV to adjust the antenna. Picture looks great while you are standing there. You have to repeat this cycle for 15 minutes every time you change the channel: adjust antenna, step back, watch, step forward, adjust antenna, step back...

Then once you have the picture perfect and go sit down, someone comes into the room. This person stands too close to the TV, looks and says "this picture is terrible" and before you can speak, messes with the Rabbit Ears. All that stress getting it perfect for nothing. :)
